Trampoline & DMT League Series 2 - Cardiff
28th/29th May 2022
The second League event of the season was held in Cardiff on 28th and 29th May. At this competition Dynamo had 8 gymnasts competing on DMT and 4 gymnasts on Trampoline.
In the Trampoline and DMT League series events gymnasts compete for league points, the highest ranked gymnasts at the end of the season qualifying for the League Finals at Olympic Park in London.
At this event Tash competed at League 2 level DMT for the first time having competed at League 3 in the last event. Considering that Tash has only been doing DMT for less than 6 months she has improved enormously to be able to compete at this level. In the qualification round she was placed 8th, improving her placing in the final with 2 exceptional exercises and winning a silver medal.
In League 3 Dynamo's gymnasts produced some excellent performances with Lauren, Alex, Cole, Darice and Molly all making the final in DMT.
In the 9-12 Female DMT Lyla and Molly were competing at this level for the first time and for Darcie it was her 2nd competition. All preformed brilliantly scoring League points, and both Darcie and Molly made the final round. In the final Molly finished in 8th position and Darcie performed 2 new passes with increased difficulty to place 5th. All 3 girls exceeded all expectations and showed that they are future Dynamo stars!
In the 9-12 Male DMT Alex was competing at his first National event and Cole at his second. Both boys performed above all expectations, Cole placing 1st and Alex 3rd in the qualification round, this means that Cole is guaranteed a place at the League Finals and Alex is almost certain to qualify. In the final landing penalties for Cole and a small mistake from Alex meant that they placed 5th and 8th, but showed that they are definitely names to look out for in the future!
Competing in 13-14 Female DMT Skye produced 2 excellent passes finishing in 17th place in a very tough group. For Skye this was her first National level competition, an amazing achievement as she has only been trampolining for 6 months! And in the 17+ Female DMT group Lauren qualified for the final round in 7th place, moving up and narrowly missing out on a medal finishing in 4th place in the final round.
On the trampoline Cole and Darcie were both competing at League 3 for the first time, and both produced solid routines, both scoring League points and placing 11th and 12th respectively. In the 19+ Female group there were over 40 gymnasts competing. Tash finished in 26th position, an amazing result considering that she hadn't been training due to injury and had to decrease the difficulty of her 2nd exercise. Lauren competing at League 3 for the first time also finished a creditable 30th position.

Dynamo Summer Cup
21st May 2022
In May we held the Dynamo Summer Cup. This was an opportunity for our elite gymnasts to gain competition experience before taking part in the League Series event the following week and also an opportunity for all our gymnasts to compete.
Throughout the day there were some exceptional performances, with many of our gymnasts scoring new personal bests and trying out more difficult exercises.
Thank you to all the gymnasts and spectators for making this an enjoyable and successful day!

Trampoline & DMT League Series 1 - Burgess Hill
2nd/3rd April 2022
Dynamo gymnasts took part in the Trampoline and DMT League Series competition in Burgess Hill. This was our first competition outside the club since 2019.
Since our return to training in June last year the club has been rebuilding and this level of competition is new for most of our gymnasts so this event was a good learning experience for our squad.
Lauren is one of our most experienced gymnasts, but was returning to competition for the first time since 2011! Competing in Double Mini Trampoline League 3, Lauren placed =8th in the preliminary round and moved up to 2nd in the final.
Tash is one of our newest gymnasts joining the club at the end of 2021. Tash has previously competed at University compatitions, but this was her first national level competition. In League 3 trampoline Tash placed 3rd after the preliminary round and finished 4th in the Final. An excellent result against some very tough opposition! In League 3 DMT she narrowly missed out on a place in the final, finishing in 12th place.
Competing in his first competition outside the club, Cole performed brilliantly with consistent performances placing 2nd in the preliminary round and taking the silver medal in the final in League 3 DMT. He has almost certainly already guaranteed himself a place at the League Finals at Olympic Park in London later this year and is definitely a name to look out for in the future!
Another of Dynamo's stars of the future is 9 year old Darcie. Having only reached the the age requirement to compete at this level in 2022 Darcie performed exceptionally finishing in 11th place in the 9-12 girls League 3 DMT competition.

After the COVID-19 pandemic this was Dynamo's first 'in person' competition and for many of our gymnasts their first competition. Throughout the day our gymnasts produced some excellent performances.
At the end of an excellent day of competition Molly was crowned Dynamo Champion 2021!

During the COVID-19 pandemic 'in person' competitions were replaced with virtual competitions which have allowed gymnasts from all over the world to compete against each other. After our return to training this was Dynamo's first opportunity to take part in a virtual competition.
For most of Dynamo's gymnasts this was their first experience of competition and was a great learning experience. Unlike 'in person' competitions when you submit your videos for a virtual competition you have no idea what to expect! It came as a great surprise when the results came through that not only had our gymnasts performed really well, they had won some medals!

Virtual Club Competition
23rd October 2021
During the COVID-19 pandemic 'in person' competitions were replaced with virtual competitions which have allowed gymnasts to keep competing while restrictions were still in place. After Dynamo's return to training we organised a virtual competition within the club to get our gymnasts used to this form of competition. It was also an excellent introduction to competition without the pressure of judges or spectators for our new gymnasts!
This was an excellent day with some brilliant performances but even more importantly our gymnasts worked as a team and supported each other.
